Pat Neshek tweeted out to fans Tuesday night offering up a possible baseball during BP to fans wearing a Neshek uni and give him a shout-out. Not sure how many fans have Neshek jerseys out there but I’m sure there are enough that he will hear from them. This is a pretty cool way for a guy like Neshek to connect with fans but I don’t think Mauer will try this one.
Looks like this Neshek fan-family club is sitting up a bit high to get Pat’s attention.

Looks like the Minnesota Twins made their first error on opening day at Target Field with a typo in their Press Pass publication of official game information. The primary game headline reads “MINNESOTA TWINS (5-2) at BOSTON RED SOX (3-3)” instead of “BOSTON RED SOX (3-3) at MINNESOTA TWINS (5-2)”.

Here is a link to a copy of the Press Pass publication for Target Field Game 1 with the typo and here is the link to the Twins posted version which contained the error at 1:20 pm opening day. Who knows, maybe the Twins posting will get corrected by game time or maybe not at all.
No, this isn’t a critical error but it is a bit of an oops when you know they are working very hard to make everything just right for opening day. If you enjoy little odds and ends kind of baseball souvenirs, especially free ones, this might fit the bill.

The Minnesota Twins held a lottery to select prospective ticket buyers for the opening series of the 2010 season at Target Field. My wife and I each filled out one of these forms to get a chance at being selected. I could have flooded the registration process with many more registrations but I didn’t want to go that route. We were going to go with that slim, get lucky approach.
Well, luck didn’t go our way and this afternoon we both just received our rejection letter. Neither of us were selected for a chance at buying tickets for the opening series against the Boston Red Sox. I guess we will have to wait for a later game, or pony up for season tickets…… uh,….no…. I can’t swing that one.
Here’s the letter we got plus a screen grab image of it.

Tonight my youngest son and I went to the Twins Pro Shop in Roseville to pick up tickets for this weekend’s Twins Fest. It was here I got my hands on a short stack of 2010 Twins pocket schedules. Yup, I’m a pocket schedule junkie, gotta get a few for me and a couple for the boys. Next trip will be the same too because I need a few to stash for safe keeping. You know, some for that organized portfolio of pocket schedules I’m going to put together someday… a guy can dream, right? Well, for now tossing them in a drawer will have to do.
This 2010 edition pocket schedule is special. It features a new seating chart, natural grass and a skyline. The seating chart is a wonder to my eyes. It’s not a round bowl. It’s got nooks and crannies, angles and oddities. I’m sure I’ll study it way too much. I look at these pocket schedules kinda like I do maps. I’m a bit of a kid about ‘em. Cheers gang, we’ve got a new seating chart.
